Wonderful Experiences in the Cutler and Palmetto Bay Areas.

I have to share my most recent experiences in the Cutler and Palmetto Bay Area. These past few days, the weather motivated me to go jogging by Old Cutler Rd. and it was wonderful. As I smelled the ocean breezes, I realized how lucky I was to live just minutes away from the bay. During my outing, I stopped by dock next to Thalatta Park, and it was nice to see how the residents enjoy fishing and relaxing by the dock. Last Sunday, I went kayaking with my family and we had so much fun. It was really nice to meet with the guides from Nature Postings and explore.

These last few days, I have been enjoying the benefits of living minutes away from the bay. We have the perfect setting - perfect temperature, sunny days, and many places to explore. I recommend starting the weekend jogging along Old Cutler Rd. Then, stopping just north of Thalatta Park. After you pass the bridge, you will find Deering Pointe which is located at 17350 Old Cutler Road, Palmetto Bay, Fl. 33157. This is a free recreational area which offers a ramp for kayaking and it is a good place for fishing or just to appreciate nature. Also, along the way there is another stop next to the Deering Estate which is great for cyclists, joggers, as well as fishing.

Finally, I want to announce that Thalatta Park is offering free kayaking on November 30th at 8:00 A.M. Registration is required for this free activity. For information call 305-259-1234. Life vests, kayaks  will be provided plus guides that explain the mangroves.
